Barbakan is a company run by IPMS Toronto and AMPS Fort York member Robert Włodarek. The products are high quality 1/35 ground work such as brick walls, bases, individual scale bricks and other diorama accessories.
The bases range from large 220mm x 140mm streets ready for your AFV or WWII vignette, to smaller square cobblestone road fragments perfect for a figure. All the products are ready for paint so you can craft your individual vision.
Drop by Hornet Hobbies and check out these fine Barbakan products.
We are about to place an order with Stalingrad Miniatures. They manufacture some of the finest quality and detailed 1/35th scale resin figures in the hobby. They mainly focus on WWII German and Russian subjects, some WWI and modern, and the rarely seen civilian subjects and wagons. Please go to their web catalogue and make a note the item numbers of all the figures you would like us to order for you. Near the bottom of this page are their 1/48 scale offerings.
Let us know the item numbers of all the figures by February 12, 2017!
One of our customers, Vlad Adamec, has an article in this month's Tamiya Military Model International (Issue 106, Feb. 2015, pg. 34) about his build of the IBG Models Marmon Herrington Mk.1 South African Reconnaissance Vehicle (kit XS35021).
He has left his model in our display case here in the store. Take the opportunity to drop by and see it in the flesh... or rather, in all it's weathered glory. Then take a look at the TMMI issue to see how he did it. Vlad has two other 1:35 scale models on display at Hornet Hobbies. His T-80U (Xact kit #XS35001) and the Israeli Achzarit APC (Meng kit #SS0-003) are pretty phenomenal.
