Hornet Hobbies is Closing

Deve's Tiger with the Hornet Hobbies logo

Hornet Hobbies is closing its doors on January 13th, 2019.

After 16 wonderful years of building friendships, an active modelling community and a few models, Dave Browne is retiring from retail life.

Our lease is up on January 31st, and with the Eglinton LRT construction wreaking destruction on small businesses from Bathurst through to Warden Avenue and beyond, we had to make a decision about our business and its future. So, the time has come for us to move on and out of the city.

This decision is very sad for us on many levels, as we have the best, most loyal customers in the world.

A community in the truest sense of the word has been created at Hornet Hobbies - our customers have become our friends and like family to us. So this decision has not been an easy one to make.

We may resurrect ourselves in a different location, and Dave will continue to teach on YouTube and offer clinics at our friends, Wheels & Wings, so keep in touch, and so will we.

If you have been so kind to lend one or two of your built models to grace our display cases, please make arrangements to come by the shop to retrieve these works of art as soon as possible.
